Which level (version) of VinylMaster do I need?

VinylMaster software comes in five (5) levels, as follows: 

  • XPT – Dedicated graphics design + image tools + shading + 3D + cutting (full-featured designer) + a RIP for Large format printing
  • DSR – Dedicated graphics design + image tools + shading + 3D + cutting (full-featured designer)
  • PRO – Professional sign cutting
  • LTR – Hobby (Vectorizing, simple designs and simple cutting)
  • CUT – Basic (few tools)

The level you need will depend on what you wish to design, produce and output with VinylMaster.

Why VinylMaster XPT?

VinylMaster-XPT

VinylMaster XPT is ideal if you wish to create advanced artwork with special effects and have access to modules such as the Mask Editor, 3D Shading , Font Detective and loads of Extras and if you also need a RIP for large or wide format printing then VinylMaster Xpt is the only choice for you becasue DSR does not include a RIP. While Pro has some great tools and features it is limited to vector based artwork and is therefore unable to produce the high-end and high-quality artwork that VinylMaster XPT and DSR can. Why VinylMaster DSR?

VinylMaster-DSR

VinylMaster DSR includes everything in XPT excluding a RIP so is less expensive. DSR is ideal to design and produce high-end 3D and shaded artwork and/or to publish in super high-resolution to PDF for large format printing by a service bureau, friend or colleague with a large format printer and a RIP. It is also ideal for producing eye-popping vinyl signage with its large range of design, layout and cutting tools which PRO is unable to produce. Click here to learn more.

Why VinylMaster PRO?

VinylMaster-PRO

If you wish to earn an income using VinylMaster by using the software in your sign making and/or vinyl cutting business then VinylMaster PRO is the lowest level you should seriously consider. CUT and LTR do not have the necessary tools for this purpose and you will not be nearly as productive as you could be – which will ultimately slow you down and decrease your earning’s potential. If you wish to do some hobby and craft and simple signs from home then VinylMaster LTR would be ideal and is a great entry level sign making program. Click here to learn more.

Why VinylMaster CUT?

VinylMaster-CUT

If you have bought a vinyl cutter and need to make some basic signs for in and around your office, workshop or factory then VinylMaster CUT would be suitable, however, VinylMaster CUT does not include the Vectorizer, any vector effects tools such as drop shadow or text on arc so is much more limited than VinylMaster LTR, PRO or DSR. Click here to learn more.

I have been using VinylMaster for around 6 years. I started off with version 1.0 and was hooked. Over the years I’ve only upgraded a couple of times, going from 1 to 3 and just recently to 4. With each version I soon discovered how much it’s been improved. Since then I have tried the more expensive sign software from Signlab and Flexi and I’ve kept going back to VinylMaster. I like how familiar they’ve kept the interface while upgrading the many features and now it is packed with tons of features that I feel rivals everyone. I’m also very pleased that compared to the other sign software, it has a more affordable price and still delivers a high quality product – big VinylMaster Fan!

I run a busy sign shop and have to produce quality designs and fast! vinyl master was introduced to me a couple of years ago by a buddy of mine and I thought nothing of it at the time, but he insisted I try it and installed it on my design system and man it was the best thing he ever did! We installed it on all our systems and run 5 pro licenses and I just took a look at dsr and we’re upgrading! it’s the bees knees! Thanks guys

I’m a graphics designer in a small firm and just love using VinylMaster Ltr for our sign artwork and for cutting vinyl. It’s just so easy to use and then layout my designs which saves me so much time compared to using Corel or Illy which just don’t have the cool sign tools in VinylMaster. Now we’ve just upgraded to Pro with the cut documents feature which is the best feature yet and I keep finding more tools every time I use it. Great software love it!
